About
Paula Farino
From the time she was a little girl, Paula dreamt of being an artist. She would watch her father paint and draw, and mimic what he did with her crayons and paper. Recognizing her gift, he encouraged her to follow this path. Years later, she was able to pursue her dream while studying art in college and again as an adult. She began her art career creating custom pencil portraits and later moved into acrylic and oil painting, winning various awards and scholarships.
Today, Paula is a mixed-media artist whose style can be described as ‘abstract realism’. Combining symbolic imagery and abstract elements, she utilizes a variety of mediums including acrylic inks, spray paint, and oil. Paula's art can be described as dreamy and expressive, capturing movement and freedom. She enjoys keeping her process loose, often allowing the paint to guide the final product.
Paula paints spiritual themes of heavenly realms that she calls "dreamscapes". Her art evokes deep emotion from within the viewer. She believes when she is painting that she is creating "windows to the unseen"; small glimpses beyond the veil.
Paula is passionate about helping others find their identity and purpose through creativity. She believes everyone has the potential to be creative and loves to cheer others on in their pursuits. Her greatest desire is that her art would bring healing and wholeness to others.
Paula lives in Orlando, FL with her husband and three sons.
